Gyumri, the second largest city in Armenia, has long been a hub of culture, history and tradition. Nestled in the heart of the Shirak province, it has been a beacon of Armenian identity, particularly after the devastating earthquake in 1988 that left much of the city in ruins. Over the past few decades Gyumri has been rebuilding and evolving, slowly but steadily becoming a focal point for the country’s economic and technological advancement.
