Coding as a Career
Sometimes the profession can become a meaning of life. Have you ever heard about this? Or maybe you are one of them? Yes it can! Twenty years ago, people in technology thought that the Internet would be a huge and that we’d have so much wealth that social advancement would follow naturally and people would be able to work only 20 hours per week.
Now, when the development of this field is in the very high level, we notice that coding is a career for programmers and they spend more than 60 hours per week in order to have a highly functional, secured and qualified projects.
You can’t go wrong by choosing to specialize in web development. Much of today’s software runs off the web, so there’s plenty of demand for people who can write it. Web developers typically fall into two categories – front end and back end developers. The best way to decide which one to be is to try both forms when you train and decide which one you prefer. Coding is not as hard as people think, if you are a problem solver naturally, you coding career would be very easy. If you love to be presented with a problem that you can figure out and fix, then coding is your dream job. Computers have a central and growing role in ecommerce, industry, government, education and society at large. The terms programmer and software engineer, contrary to popular belief, are not interchangeable. A programmer knows how to code and may have the technical skills needed to build meaningful products. A software engineer follows a systematic process of understanding requirements.
Believe it or not, but there’s a significant population of software developers in the tech-industry who are their own teachers, and to this day, still don’t have formal degrees. Of-course, when first starting out to learn programming, it is not so easy, but actually there are many documented online courses about different programming languages which are beneficial and useful for learning. Putting some amateur psychology to use, it seems to be true that the best developers are intrinsically motivated. This means they take reward and motivation from the process of finding solution to a problem, or creating something innovative in itself. In other words developers often do what they do for the love of doing it, rather than just being paid to do it. This means that the coding is a career for a qualified and smart developer. Undoubtedly, when you are starting out in your programming career, some days you fell out of your depth, unsure of how anyone could possibly write big and complex applications.
The opportunities for programmers today are rich and plentiful. Programmers are in higher demand now than any time in history. It is truly a great time to be a programmer. A good programmer is engaged with their profession all the time and this point of you gives a chance to have successful career in coding and programming.
